Welcome to Irish Beach.
Our claim to fame is our 5 mile beach, stretching from the
Irish Beach development atop the bluffs at the north end of
Manchester State Beach to the Point Arena Lighthouse.
It’s a glorious walking beach complete with tide pools at
the north end, a magnificent collection of driftwood, many species
of sea birds, seals, and migrating whales not too far offshore.
Irish Beach has a rich history, beginning in
the middle 60’s. (See
About MCP) Its scenic
beauty has been enjoyed by three generations of families who have
been coming here all this time to enjoy the beach, the hikes and all
the attractions of nearby Mendocino, Elk, Point Arena, Gualala and
the Anderson Valley.
This extraordinary project was founded by our
late father, William Moores, when he bought the Acquistapace sheep
ranch to develop for those wanting a beach retreat, something he’d
enjoyed growing up in Portland Oregon.
Killed early in a tragic plane crash, his family has kept his
dream alive.
